Millions of women in India are victims to infections, embarrassment and lack of basic rights due to unsafe menstrual practices. It has been estimated that every year 23 millions young school girls drop out because of this sole reason. This project was very close to our heart. The campaign and the movie was created as a promotion for an initiative; Rakshaani by the Credai Women’s Wing.
Bearing the motto of “Prithvi Ki Raksha, Nari Ki Suraksha”, Rakshaani helps reduce plastic pollution and provides safe sanitary solutions to necessitous women of the society. The sustainable napkins bought from them are also made by underprivileged women to empower and support them.
